Ellipsis

Wrap these letters back into their folds,
Blow these balloons again,
Put back together, these fragments of us,
These mirrors of broken frames…

Let these bells be hung one more time,
Let them be rung once again,
Trace the steps you left behind,
Walk backwards down the lane…

Hold these walls up now, give me a hand,
Fallen apart they have, into pieces;
Take my name again, like you once did,
When your voice shied away,
Every time you called out to me, tenderly…

Put these pages back together;
Like wisps they swept away,
Take my hand, undo this distance,
Keep this pain at bay…

Look up at the sky,
The night has broken its spell;
Let us outwit this undone, as one…

Let your words with abandon sway,
It’s time to say goodbye;
To our unforeseen farewell…
